The Premodern Period
Each of the following links leads to a page with detailed information about the work or author(s) mentioned. In the premodern period, many authors are known solely or chiefly through works attributed to them. The following list is therefore something of an expedient at the moment, with the titles of works serving as entry words except in cases where biographical information is relatively plentiful.
